My Experience with my girl friend last week.( must read)

One night, I was strolling with my girlfriend when a hummer jeep packed beside us and wind down, he signalled to my girl to come but she turned and looked at me and I being a gentleman nodded in agreement for her to go, after all, I trusted her completely. After few minutes of conversation which I couldn't hear, I saw my girlfriend opened the door and entered. I was shocked! I went to them and said, "Wha's the meaning of this?!"They just sat in the car looking at me as if I was an idiot.I became angrier when I saw the stupid guy laughing at me, I shouted at my girl and ordered her to come down from the car at once. She shrugged and calmly said, "Please Deprinzy, stop embarrassing yourself! Go home and I will send you recharge card later."I didn't know when I fainted!

6 Words You'll Need To Survive In Lagos

Lagos has become home to people from various tribes in the country – the Igbos, the Hausas, the Tivs and a lot of them.Part of the reasons people come to live in Lagos is because it’s the commercial capital of the country and as thus, there’s a lot of business going on. But truly, how do you do business if you can’t get about in the local language which is Yoruba? Here are a few Yoruba words that will help you whenever you’re stuck in Lagos.

1. E kàárọ̀/E kaasán
E kàárọ̀ is the Yoruba word for ‘Good Morning’ while E kaasán is for ‘Good afternoon’. Throw that in when you’re at the office with the cleaner instead of the regular ‘Good Morning’

2. O wa
In a Lagos bus and the bus conductor calls your bus stop? Your response should be “O wa”. Else, the bus will drive past and you can’t do anything.

3. E fun mi fisi
You know how you walk into a local buka and you’re not satisfied with the amount of food they’ve given you? “E fun mi fisi” is the magicword. Say it and keep a smile and small portions will be added to your plate

4. Ẹ ṣéẸ ṣé
is Yoruba for ‘thank you’. So when you need to show gratitude to someone for a favour, pop in this word

5. E joorE joor
is Yoruba for ‘please’. So when you getinto trouble and need someone to help out, say “e joor” and who knows?

6. Bẹẹ ni/Bẹẹ kọ
Bẹẹ ni means “yes” in Yoruba while Bẹẹ kọ means “no”. Would be really helpful if you have to go to any market in Lagos

What other Yoruba words will you teach a visitor to Lagos?

11 Things You Cant Say To A Nigerian Mum

Nigerian mothers are a special breed.Saying one thing now and meaning another thing the next minute. As hard as they may seem they are also extremely sensitive so these are a few things you should never ever say to your Nigerian mom .

1. ‘Shut up’
This is probably the biggest mistake you will ever make in your life. Nigerian mothers love to talk and so you must love to listen.

2.  ‘This food is not sweet’
Then you better not want to eat anything she cooks again

3. ‘You’re looking fat’
Especially after she told you last week that she was on a diet. Get ready for your silent treatment.

4. ‘Can’t you figure it out’
You’re not allowed to say this even if you’ve shown her how to change her whatsapp picture 38 times.

5.’Your dress isn’t fine’
Even if the dress looks like something that something from the 60’s you tell her its beautiful.

6. ‘I love daddy more than I love you’
If you say this to her just expect the ‘after all i have done for you’ speech. It’s not nice.

7. ‘I’m not wearing that outfit to church’
Then you’re not definitely not going to church.

8. ‘No’
Big mistake!

9. ‘Never’
Biggest mistake.

10. ‘You can’t force me’
That’s when you’ll realise that she has the strength of a thousand men.

11. 'Do Your Worst'
Just get ready for your funeral

Post UTME scrapped in nigerian universities

The Federal Government Thursday
scrapped the conduct of post Unified
Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME)
for candidates seeking admission into
higher institution.
The government explained that all tertiary
institutions were at liberty to conduct
screening for candidates seeking admission
into any school.
Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu
Adamu, said this on Thursday in Abuja
after declaring open the 2016 Combined
Policy Meeting on Admissions to
Universities, Polytechnics and other higher
institutions in Nigeria.
Adamu, expressed confidence in the
examination conducted by the Joint
Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
, adding that there was no need for other
examination to be conducted by
universities after JAMB.
He said: “As far as I am concerned the
nation has confidence in what JAMB is
doing. The universities should not be
holding another examination and if the
universities have any complain against
JAMB let them bring it and then we
address it.
“If JAMB is qualified enough to conduct
tests and they have conducted test then
there will be no need to conduct another
test for students to gain admission.”
The Minister also asked the JAMB to stop
extra charges on several categories of
changes on admissions such as the change
of course, change of school and others.
Meanwhile, the JAMB has pegged the cut –
off mark for admission for 2016 at 180.
The 180 benchmark, applies to all
universities and higher institutions in the
country, including polytechnics, colleges of
education, and others.
JAMB’s Registrar and Chief Executive
Officer, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, after a long
debate with delegates from various
institutions, told journalists that no
institution would go below the 180 cut-off
set by the board.
He said: “180 is given, no institution will go
below 180 this year, And some universities
can go above it, I know University of Ife
will not go below 200 and University of
Lagos will not go below 200 and also UI. All
these ones stand but 180 as bench mark
for others.
“This year we have more than enough
candidates, we have over 1.5 million
candidates so we will get enough
candidates to take in all the schools if they
are serious. Re-distribution is already
ongoing, because it is embedded in the
registration procedure.”

ALWAYS PICK YOUR CALL

During the burial of this young man, another young man was crying out his heart. He wept uncontrollably that many people kept wondering what is wrong with him.

The MC dropped the microphone and went and took this weeping young man to a corner, calmed him down and he started to explain.

He was with the guy that died the day he met his death. He drove off first and on getting to a particular spot, he noticed that some armed robbers were getting ready to block the road and resume operation.

He managed to escape. He started calling his friend to tell him what he saw, that he should remain where he was. This friend would not pick his call. To him: “why is he calling?

He should know that I am driving right behind him”. He refused to pick the call as this guy kept calling and calling. Finally, he drove into the now ready armed robbers and they pumped countless bullets on him.

He died on the spot and armed robbers stole his car. This man was crying because he knew his friend killed himself. Many of us are just like this.

Are you the one buying the credit for him or her? Pick your call when your phone rings and know why you are been called. If the phone rings twenty times in one minute, pick in all occasions.

He was saving credit for his friend because I am driving straight to where he is, he met his death.

You are in an occasion and you are calling someone you are looking at because you want to pass a crucial information, he ignores the call and is walking up to you instead, even when you are making sign that he should pick the call.

It is possible that this caller didn’t want you to come near him because he wanted to code something. Pick your call and say hello. Some people will not pick calls from numbers they don’t know and I wonder.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU KNOW ON PLANET EARTH?

DO YOU EVER THINK THAT THOSE PEOPLE YOU KNOW ARE ALL YOU NEED IN LIFE?

Note something, there is no one individual that knows up to 1% of the world population. Is it not insanity for you to restrict your life to just 1% of global population? What of the remaining 99%? Many people have missed life saving opportunities because they refused to pick a particular call.

falling in Love

"Coulda Woulda Shoulda"
Did you ever fall in love
At the right time or place
Does it always have to move
At its own kinda pace
When you're driving on cruise control
Coming up a bumpy ride
And your heart is back in shape
Then it hits you with no chance to hide
But don't you miss out on the way
Don't find a reason to say
Coulda Woulda Shoulda
But I didn't do that
(You gotta) Give it a shot
Better believe
And don't say you...
Coulda Woulda Shoulda
(But I didn't do that)
Just throw in everything you've got
Coz in love there's no holding back
Tell me that you played it safe
Coz you're afraid to hurt your neck
On the rollercoaster train,
Never knowing what you get
You think you wanna be cynical,
Wanna date the best in me
Giving up the greatest trash,
Who knows what it turns out to be
Don't you miss out on the way
Don't find a reason to say
Coulda Woulda Shoulda
(But I didn't do that)
(you gotta) give it a shot
Better believe
And don't say you...
Coulda Woulda Shoulda
(but I didn't do that)
Just throw in everything you've got
Coz in love there's no holding back
Ooohh
It's meant to be,
But don't think about it
Let love run free,
Coz you're on your way
Follow your heart where it's calling on you,
Don't you say...
But I didn't do that,
I didn't do that baby
Gotta believe it...
Coulda Woulda Shoulda
Oh!, but I didn't do that
You gotta give it a shot
Better believe
And don't say you...
Coulda Woulda Shoulda
But I didn't do that
Just throw in everything you've got
Coz in love there's no holding back
Didn't do that
Coulda Woulda Shoulda
Just throw in everything you've got
Coz in love there's no holding

The Strong Spirited Woman

The strong spirited woman.
I know of a strong spirited woman
One free like the wind
One strong willed,one who aspires
One who is real
I know of miss mitchele oveisi(my miss sunshine)

I know of a strong spirited woman
One whose voice is heard over hills
One whose thoughts could make dreams
One with flaws and not sink
I know of Mrs patricia irieguna(senior mom)

I met a strong spirited woman
One powerful like the north east wind
Whose presence is felt across countries and seas
One whose presence sends sparkling sensation to eyes that beseech it
Her character upright and just;a moral and disciplined soul
Her face steals the moons glow
I have been with miss joyce anarene(my hazel eyes)

I grew up with a strong spirited woman
She keeps her fears hidden in the shadows
And her courage lit up to discover the way which is narrow
She struggles to meet her goals;never weary, never battered
Her prayers would lift up a frustrated soul
I was brought into the world by her
Mrs victoria utah(my golden sparrow)

I know of a strong spirited woman
She is calm but tough
She believes in equality with sincerity
She loves passionately eventhough it could break her apart
She is an african lady with a cultured mindset
I know miss happiness utah(little sister)

I have tasted the cheek of a strong spirited woman
Right there I was transformed
She is one whose home will be built on the bedrock of wisdom
Her usual words would be Nothing but surely means SOMETHING
A chameleon adjustable to different concepts
She only dances to the tunes of success
I believe she will be a mother to all

FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.

MY QUESTION: Does the Buhari led administration care?

The true reason why Tiwa savage's husband attempted murder.

Even with this major saga and dishonesty a pastor, acclaimed man of God is telling Tiwa to take Tunji back and return home to fix her marriage, the pastor named as Felix Aigbe Libarty has called out the couple to save themselves and the Nigerian music industry from further embarrassment by resolving their differences amicably. His message to Tiwa went along the lines of  “I want Tiwa Savage to begin to understand that whatever is happening to her now is an attack from the pit of hell. Her husband is in deep trouble. I am sure that his pastor has not been able to tell him that he’s under attack. The devil may not attack you directly, it will attack your partner. Spiritually, as I am seeing it, her husband (TeeBillz) is under attack.Eh Eh Heee!! Pastors please pray for this sister because she is between a hard rock and a knife – either ways she isfuckedup with afuckedup husband and needs better spiritual councilling and not blogger counsel, it is well.

I spent my money on prostitutes; confession of a criminal

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command over the weekend arrestedtwo suspected pickpockets operating in Maryland and Mile 12 areas of the metropolis. The suspects, Taoreed Ashimiyu, 24, and Kayode Jolaade, 34, were allegedly caught in the act by policemen after they had successfully removed three phones from commuters in different BRT buses.Upon their arrival at the RRS headquarters, the duo reportedly confessed to the crime, saying that they were experts in robbing commuters in Mile 12 and Maryland. One of the suspects, Taoreed, who hails from Yemetu, Alawada in Oyo state, said that he spent the proceeds from stealing on prostitutes.“I have not spent a dime from my proceeds in stealing onanything tangible. I womanise a lot and I spent my monies on both young and old ladies. I smoked indian-hemp and drink all sort of hard drinks,” he said.Taoreed revealed that before his arrest, he had removed two mobile phones from commuters during a rush at the Maryland bus-stop, adding that his third attempt led to his arrest.“My accomplice caused my arrest today. Before he joined me at Maryland, I had stolen two phones successfully.” But when he came around, we had to be moving in pair. People who had known him in the area were monitoring us ,unknown to us,” Taoreed stated in his confessional statement.

why i married peter okoye - Lola omotayo okoye

Peter Okoye of PSquare and Lola Omotayo’s love story is compelling and amazing.

The couple have been in a relationship for over eight years before they finally tied the knot on Sunday, November 17, 2013.

There has been a lot of talk and whispers about their marriage, the family issues and the fact that Lola is by far older than Peter Okoye has been trending. But why did she decide to marry someone who’s her junior?

Below is Lola Omotayo’s stand on their age difference…
Lola, who was a Business Development Director at FKG2m a marketing agency in Lagos, had told the story of how she and Peter met and how the relationship started“My agency handles some of British American Tobacco brands and P’Square was doing a show for us at one of our events in Enugu. Though I hadmet Peter a couple of times before then, at the show there was some chemistry. He asked for my number and I refused giving it to him. I told him ‘if you really want to know me, you have to find my number’. So he took it as a task and found my number and the rest is history.”Lola, said she isn’t disturbed by the age difference. Her reason:“Like I said, Peter is an old soul and he always tells me that I’m like a 23-year-old. Age is just a number. Right now, you can see it around the world. Demi Moore, Usher and some known people. Even in Nigeria here, they are dating people far older than their age. So, we shouldn’t base it on the age factor. He doesn’t make me feel like he’s younger than me.” Hmmmn, is age really just a number in marriage, especially in Nigeria?

Genevieve opens up on why she hasn't had sex in 10yrs.

”I have been single for so long, it hasn’t been easy..even when dbanj came along with his thing that wasn’t long..he kept saying NO LONG THING..NO LONG THING..never that was he meant till i saw it,it was even shorter than his harmonica… We couldn’t settle down, luckily for me, I have found a man now to spend the rest of my life with”

cossy's view on marriage

Nutty Queen sensation, Cossy Orjiakor is hardly a comedienne of note, at least no one has really associated any sense of humour with the boobs-toting singer and actress. But she has shown that hilarious side of her in a recent Facebook post she made on her handle.According to the sexy diva “ Not all marriage start with “Will You Marry Me?” Some start with “I am Pregnant” she joked.Though we are still waiting for the star to pick a wedding date after telling the whole world that she would marry soon some months ago. Is it the ‘Will you marry me or the ‘I am Pregnant’ that will work for her?

President Buhari speaks on Serious national issues

During the week in London, President Muhammadu Buhari spoke on burning national issues.
Below are the excerpts.

On a permanent solution to the herdsmen crisis:

The problem is virtually as old as Nigeria itself. Culturally, the herdsmen don’t stay in one place. They move with the season. Normally, harvest is completed much earlier in the north. Then they have to move southwards for green pasture. In the first republic, there was what they called cattle routes and grazing areas. They were marked. Infrastructure were put in terms of windmills, earth dams, even veterinary clinics. Now after first republic, people turned these places into farms. And if you have 500 cows, if they don’t eat for 24 hours, or need water, you can’t stop them [from moving around].What they used to do then is that if anybody went outside the cattle route, or outside the grazing area, he would be arrested, taken before an alkali’s court, fined. If he can pay, okay. The money is taken and given to the farmer. If he can’t pay, the cattle is sold and the farmer is paid. People were behaving themselves. So when people came and took away the land for the cattle route, for the grazing areas, you find out that from Kaduna to Bayelsa, Nigerians are fighting cattle rearers now. But when I was in the Petroleum Trust Fund, we made a comprehensive study of cattle routes and grazing areas throughout Nigeria. I am referring the governors’ forum and the minister of agriculture and rural development to the report. Let them see what they can do and save the situation.Meanwhile, there seems to be some credibility that there are other than Nigerian cattle rearers involved. Now this is because of what happened in Libya. Gaddafi, during his 43-year regime, trained some people from the Sahel… militarily, he trained them. And when his regime was overthrown, those peoplewere again dispatched to their countries. They are gone, carrying their weapons and they found themselves even in Boko Haram. It is a major regional and virtually African problem. They work with al Qaeda, with Boko Haram, and so on. It is a government project now to trace them, and disarm them and if necessary try them and lock them up.

On Niger Delta militancy flaring up again:

I was elected by the whole country and the least I can do is to keep the country together. I assure you,we will develop the capacity to do it. If you could recall, I appointed a retired brigadier-general, Paul Boroh, and when I give people assignment and give them the terms of reference, I allow them to do theirwork. I spoke to the chief of naval staff and other service chiefs to work with him and help him to make sure that those who are blowing the installations and subverting investments in Nigeria, we will deal with them eventually. The militants are saying the agreement entered for the amnesty, including payments and training and employment were not being met. To the best of my knowledge, these are their grievances. So we put this officer who is from there to revisit the agreement, and see which part the federal government needs to fulfill.

On the sustainability of the payments:

We have to secure Nigeria before we can manage it efficiently. And I assure you we are going to do that.We will try and develop confidence in our ability to do it eventually.

On if he believes in privatisation:

I believe in privatisation. It is efficient. But we have to talk to those who make a lot of noise about privatisation. Their own privatisation, how successful is it? We are trying to be in a state of “beyond the token”. [For instance], if you claim to bea good farmer, how much investment did you put into it? Then we help you with tractors, with advisers, to make sure you do produce. We give youseeds and fertilizers. But we don’t just believe whatever you say.

On Chibok girls negotiation:

My problem is that you just don’t produce five [and say you want to negotiate]. Over 200 girls are missing. We need at least 50, to be sure they are safe, and we join them to their families, take them back to their schools, then we can negotiate. Whatever they did in the past is not the issue. All wewant is to recover the girls.

On his assessment of the anti-corruption crusade:

So far, what has come out, what has been recovered, in whatever currency, from which ministry, department and individuals, I intend on the29th [of May] to speak on this because all that Nigerians are getting to know are from the newspapers, radio and television because of the number of people arrested by EFCC, DSS. We want to make a comprehensive report by May 29.

On Publishing the names of those indicted:

Eventually, it has to be done because we want to successfully prosecute them. But you know you can’t go to the court unless you have the documents to do your prosecution – where some of these people sign for these monies, send it to their personal bank accounts. Their banks gave a statement that the money is there when it came how much of it available and so on.

On ‘Selective probe’ of PDP campaign funding:

The accusation will be against the law enforcement agencies. But I can assure you we don’t interfere. Try and get the list of those who are now under arrest, either with EFCC or already taken to prison, you will find out that it is across the board.
